Philosophy of Representation

Margaret and her paralegal strive for clear, open, and timely communication with their clients, which includes the prompt return of calls, emails & texts. Margaret has developed an overall universal philosophical approach to her family law cases. Some tenets are:

“We strive to take the fear and anxiety away from the legal process to let our clients begin healing and focus on their new future.”

  • Open honest communication between the client and the lawyer is essential.
  • The “best interests” of the children are paramount.
  • Margaret and her client develop and refine the case strategy based on the Client’s short-term and long-term goals and needs.
  • The case strategy is focused on “positive” rather than “negative” goals.
  • If the case can be settled short of going to trial, either through attorney-to-attorney negotiation, mediation, or arbitration, Margaret strives to resolve the case

Written fee agreements are utilized so clients have a full understanding of their rights and responsibilities in the relationship.

Margaret and Heidi cannot handle the case alone; client participation is essential to a positive outcome of the case.
